​​My name is Dawn, your wedding/event painter. Painting live at weddings/events is a way to share my joy of painting with you and create a lasting memory of your special day. With years of art experience and a creative eye, I ensure that your painting will reflect your story.

My passion for art began at a very young age and hasn't stopped growing. After majoring in fine art at college, I studied under the tutelage of artist Larry Kaiser. 

In the early years, I painted for Home Show Art Companies in Indiana and Michigan where my paintings were sold all over the Midwest. I also participated in popular art shows, such as the Gold Coast, Navy Pier, Watertower and Uptown in Chicago and many in the suburbs, and also in Michigan (ArtPrize) and Minnesota.

Throughout my career, I've created a range of art, from florals, landscapes, abstracts, portraits and storytelling on canvas. I was commissioned by Olgivie/Pertl Gallery to create paintings for McDonald's Corporation that were placed in locations in Germany, Hawaii and Illinois as well as being the first artist on the cover of their 1993 Quarterly Financial Report with my painting "Through the Tulips." I have been in several group showings in galleries, sold artwork to private investors (including an Il. Senator), painted a mural for a historic house/entertainment venue in Crystal Lake, Il. and another mural in a preschool in Barrington, Illinois.

More recently, as paint parties became popular, I created "Paint Party Fun" where I taught people to paint at public and private gatherings.

Besides painting at weddings and events, I am involved in plein air painting with other artists, as well as painting commissions of beloved pets and people.​
