Most of my art is Representational- My style differs as I change from Oil to acrylic, some paintings leaning towards impressionism and others more realistic.

I also have paintings that are Abstract, where I focus on movement, color and emotion. I start with putting words on the canvas that will be covered up with layers of paint. I choose the words by how I want the painting to "vibrate". Then I meditate on each word and feel into what the color is, how does it move, and how does it feel. If I am doing a painting for someone and they have given me their words, I sink into how they would interpret the words. This is all intuitive, so I have no plan going into the painting of how it will unfold. My hope is that the finished painting will be viewed as healing and motivational.
